Then why do we allow immigration courts? Because we have mercy on people who want to be contributing members of society. Unfortunately we no longer have Ellis Island and welcome immigrants en masse. Do you consider living here awhile 30 years? Is that enough to get citizenship?

Have you not seen the videos of ice snatching people at courthouses when going through proper channels to gain citizenship? I have. Sometimes it's literally their final court appearance & it's despicable to ambush them like that. Nonsense about going about it "the right way" when they are doing it!
