My mom's generation lined up for polio vaccinations because children were dying. Today, thanks to widespread vaccination programs, people don't see the results of these illnesses - we're spoiled. These diseases can kill newborns who are too young to be vaccinated and the immunosuppressed.

I was so impressed with the acting and writing on this show. It's extremely well done. It's a great perspective of the Troubles in Ireland told mainly from the viewpoint of Delours Price. She and her sister were among the first women to become full members of the IRA. Streaming now on Hulu.

There was a school shooting today in California. Two high school students were injured. However, we've become so inured to school shootings that this was not prominently reported by most news agencies. It's our duty and privilege to protect our children. We've lost sight of that.
