Nope. Unless I am writing something specifically from my own experience, I am a competent enough writer that the people I write and how I write them is a performance in itself and not directly indicative of my personal state. Even when I'm writing personal essays, I'm writing with specific intent.
Do you think being a writer inevitably means you let people into your thoughts and feelings a little more than you might prefer, through your choices while writing and particularly while creating characters? (It's a theory I've heard stated but I think more often by literary authors.)
