An enormous relativistic ark driven by magnetic mirror fusion engines, carrying the remnants of humanity across many lightyears to safety.
Realistically, it is better to stay on Earth, but it's evocative scifi nonetheless.

Parsons revealed the JLTV ZEUS 4, a mine-clearing vehicle that uses a laser beam to destroy ordanance from 300m:

It's undergone serious testing, but I suppose it only works on exposed targets; anything buried would be impervious to a small beam like this.

So I tried to make an ORBAT of the 54th signals regiment, as often with french regiments, it's not very interesting as they are made to upkeep a specific capacity: here it's tactical level electronic warfare. Courtesy of @battleorder.org for most of symbols. #ORBATboys

Today's #ausarmy #orbat for the #orbatboys, the Aust. Army's 1st Division in 1999. 1DIV aimed to move away from the Defence of Australia doctrine and become flexible, deployable, and scalable.

It would face its first test during INTERFET.

Couldn’t a brigade’s “Multi-Domain Recon Company” (MRC) and its “Multi-Domain Recon Teams” (MDRTs) just be called its…recon company and recon teams?

The old division recon squadrons were “multi-domain” too—OH-58Ds and ground scout troops—but that didn’t make them need a goofy name and acronym
