Please come meet Travis Baldtree, author of the cozy fantasy novel "Legends and Lattes," at the #WSU Terrell Library on Wednesday, Nov. 5th at 4pm.
It’s a hot cup of fantasy slice-of-life with a dollop of romantic froth!

I can't believe I've been at #WSU for 25 years, but I joined the WSU Quarter-Century Club today! I love that we all got a plant- it's a great acknowledgement of our land grant ag school status. I feel very very lucky to have found a professional home here.

Many things have changed since I started college 44 years ago, but it's nice to know that at least one thing hasn't - there is still a tent selling posters on the mall, and students are still eagerly buying them.

Oh my gosh. A new @guygavrielkay : "Written on the Dark"
His books are total must-buys for me. Now I have to decide whether I want to read it immediately, or save it for when I might need it more!

Because, of course, it turns out, once again, that book banners were lying to the American people all along.

If you're a grad student or an undergrad interested in research I need to you listen to me very carefully.

You cannot learn to write good research papers if you do not read good research papers.

Stop asking LLMs to summarize papers for you.

It's been a hard week. But 3 grad students at the GPSA Expo recognized me from my Zotero classes & love it, & today I got to show a student our Poetry Corner with chapbooks and she discovered new-to-her poems from her favorite poet, Nikki Giovanni, and more. I'll take those wins.

Eating a slice of Safeway soda bread with tea & the local paper, and missing my Nana & my cousin Eileen so much. They both made the best soda bread at the drop of a hat sans recipe. Our oven is still broken or I'd try to make some myself-not that it would be anything as good as theirs...

The Internet Archive has to date downloaded 500 terabytes of US government websites, which it crawls at the end of every presidential term. The whole archive is fully searchable. This effort's housed by a donation-funded nonprofit, not a branch of the US government. blog.archive.org/2024/05/08/e...
