Teddy used to be my neighbor's cat, but he spent most of his time at my house. Eventually, I had a litter box and food and water dishes out for him all the time. He came and went as he pleased, and spent most of his nights at my house. He was part of the inspiration for my novel One Night.

Not sure why this chipmunk is still awake on November 8th. All of the others in my yard and at the cabin are in torpor already. Maybe someone stole his stash. But don't worry, I'm shoveling sunflower seeds outside for it to cheek.

Hotel Wausau, Wausau, Wisconsin. 275 rooms with a cocktail lounge. I would have loved to seen it, I'll bet it was an Art Deco beauty.
