This judge was appointed by Ronald Reagan. Sad sign of our times is how we now look at who appointed a judge. We never used to do this. We expected, required, that they stay out of the political fray & "call balls and strikes."

In 2024 34% in MD went GOP. Far west & east counties. In the 90s my district looked like a salamander looped around the City of Baltimore. Redistricting got rid of a GOP district - Roscoe Bartlett. I can't guarantee we can lawfully get rid of Andy Harris.

Due to Ms. Jacobs, et al, the cute, extremely pricey brownstones in Greenwich Village & vacant factories cum lofts would've long ago made way ben new housing in Manhattan. We setup polls the night before, get 6 hrs of sleep, arrive at 0-dark-30 for final machine checks & work a 16+ hr day for barely minimum wage. (In some places it may be a volunteer position) It is also some of the most satisfying, important work you can do.

I cannot stress how important the role ordinary citizens play in serving as election judges.
We make things go smoothly. Open & close the polls on time, insure voters get to vote & are the ones who stop alleged fraud.
(Haven’t seen any.) We are the real witnesses that an election is fair.

Planning to vote in every primary & the general election is very important.
