This is the vinegar today. No flies, and a lovely mother covering the top 😍

A month later on October 14th I strained the solids out and switched the cheesecloth for thin paper napkins (left over from a fast food meal). I figured that would be thin enough to allow for airflow, but non-porous enough to keep out the flies.

Documenting my current vinegar making here too. This mixed berry batch was started on September 13th with frozen raspberries, frozen blackberries foraged the year before and forgotten about (opps 😅), and fresh strawberries that were about to go off.

Let's pretend all the clouds look different on purpose to make them more realistic 😴
