Well, after a lot of work Mark Allen gets a frame on the board. He goes into the interval trailing Scott Donaldson 3-1.

After a drawn out battle Scott Donaldson makes it 3-0. That was Mark Allen's best chance to get into this match so far but for now all he's doing is slowing Donaldson down.

Its a dream start for Donaldson. Nothing risky or too flashy needed, just steadily working away. It ends in a foul but he's done enough to take the opening frame.
Mark Allen not looking too bright in the opening there, but that could change quickly.
