It’s a praise for Sheffield’s Ecclesall Woods and its fabulous tree canopies. The other day it was 31 degrees, and the shade the trees offered still made it a great place to walk. And today, despite it stair-rodding down with rain, the shelter from the trees still kept me pretty dry. Lovely spot.

Nice antidote to the last few weeks watching #swfc. 1,563 of us there as @hallamfc1860.bsky.social moved up a division after a penalty shoot-out. A few Wednesday legends (and @alanbiggs1.bsky.social) in attendance. As close as I’m going to get to witnessing any glory this term but well done to them.

Finally made it to the @petemckee.bsky.social exhibition at Weston Park. Totally fabulous and deeply moving; two of us both in tears at various points. Three footy ones and one Limit one here; as someone who drove the #swfc Fanscene column for 12 years particularly loved the Green ‘Un pic.
