For teaching ppl English, I think that it should be phonics->etymology, specifically global etymology, the point of contact from other languages to English. Like, eg, “English” itself comes from the Germanic “Anglo” with the “-ish” suffix, “Anglisch” and then “English.” I think this because it 1/2

I think when people lament the rule of law being eroded, I think they really mean that they wish there were more ways to hold the ruling class accountable, but as you say, the legal means to do so are few and far between because the law is not for us. Bad place to be in!
