Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, the two victims of the shooting outside a Jewish museum in Washington DC.

Two Israeli Embassy employees.

Two people targeted for being Jewish.

Two innocent victims of hatred.

This is a horrific act.

May their memories be a blessing.

59 hostages are still in Gaza, after 1.5 years in hell.

Just as Moses demanded that Pharaoh let his people go from slavery, so we say to Hamas: Let our people go.

One and a half years since the horror of October 7.

One and a half years that the hostages are in Gaza, starving, abused, alone.

One and a half years later, this nightmare continues.

While celebrating the joys of Purim and its history, let us draw strength to help us confront the threats we face today. While remembering the liberation of Persian Jews from oppression, let us remember the many times the Jewish people overcame adversity and persevered.

For nearly 500 days, Eli Sharabi was a hostage in Gaza, where he was tortured, starved, and abused. Sharabi was freed in February and came home to Israel to the horrific news that his wife and two teenage daughters were murdered during the October 7 attack.

Everyone must watch his testimony.

“Shiri, I’m sorry I couldn’t protect you all.”

All of Israel is united today for a purpose we did not want: To bid farewell to the beautiful Bibas family, to Shiri, Ariel, and Kfir, a mother and two children, as they were brought to their final resting place. It never should have happened this way.
