i’ve said this before but the first time i felt like i’d really Made It as a podcaster was when i found bootlegged patreon eps of the show on soulseek. when people care enough about your stuff to share files of it, it means it’s worthy of archival and i think that’s pretty cool
piracy discourse is so exhausting and passe, but i will observe that every truly great collector of physical media I know has a big harddrive of pirated books and movies. you literally cannot have one without the other
