A pin oak triangle bowl. Not sure I'll ever try and make another one of those. It starts from a much larger solid block, wedged on in an awkward way, somewhat loosely, until it can be shaped into something that can be secured in place.

This bowl was carved into a piece of spalted maple burl. Its got a ton of features. Difficult to photograph though... at least for me. The back and bottom not shown here are completely flat. I think its a pretty interesting piece.

I made about a dozen or so kalimbas last year. These are the two I saved for myself. Maple, canary, bali and purple heart all worked great. Oak sounded really muted so I wouldn't recommend using that type of wood when making them yourself.

Shagbark Hickory and Pin Oak picked up after a storm last summer. Won't touch that until 2026

Pin Oak planks cut in 2023. Will use those to make some segmented bowls next summer.

random cutoffs... probably should lighten that load before the wall collapses...

A live edge bowl I turned from a honey locust branch. These are particularly difficult to work with as the wood tends to split. A tree fell last year and I was able to get a lot before the city showed up and put the rest into a wood chipper.
