This is one of the many reasons I want more public transportation. If you don't want to pay attention, you don't need to be driving a heavy vehicle (relative to the human body) at high speeds.

I cannot overstate how it enrages me that I, a driver of a car, seem to be among a dwindling number of drivers who devote their full attention to driving the car.
I understand what my responsibilities are when operating a 2-ton machine which can kill people and I take them life-and-death seriously.
