The atmosphere slightly resembles one of the beloved Disco Elysium, but with odd magics, strange world factions and creepy gods(demons?). Also, it’s very cozy and I don’t feel like rushing my reading at all!

This was… wonderful. Weird tales with a lot of heart—the strings of mine were touched more than once ❤️
There’s also a pinch of classism there, but overall nothing as atrocious as Lovecraft used to passionately express in his works haha

This was… wonderful. Weird tales with a lot of heart—the strings of mine were touched more than once ❤️

I love this series so much! Basically, it’s what if Vlad Dracula was a girl. No vampires, plenty of historical context, and the queer side of it (mainly explored in books 2 and 3) is just the sweetest.

The stories in the book change so dramatically toward the end. I’d rather they were all about unspoken cosmic terrors. I bet Lovecraft wasn’t happy with the change of tone, too, despite the blurb😅
