I’m anxiously awaiting the presidential portrait to show up in the mail- the one that all Americans will be required to display in their home. Though unlikely to happen, if it did I would cause an enormous scene while burning it the street

I used to live in Tulsa. No one ever talked about. I was only able to educate myself about the massacre by accidentally while driving around the area. I was stunned and clueless. Google served me well that day

True. But it kind of seems like we’ve stepped far outside of “officially government records that must be preserved” territory. There is nothing stopping anything they are doing right now, and frankly, it wouldn’t matter if they did stop. Damage is done

Saw my MIL the day after DCA crash. “Did you hear about the crash? Sounds pretty bad!” As though she had asked if I’d heard the local DG was closing soon. “Yes, of course I did. I’m very scared now” Both of her sons are career pilots. She says, “oh, ya, well. I’ve always been concerned. Nothing new”

Oh man… I’m 7 again! This will never not make me cry. I so vividly remember how I felt in the moment. The impact has lasted 40 more years and counting. Having things like that, reaching young people could make such an impact as they figure how to navigate society.
