It’s rly hot to imagine Yama being just like a different class of man, so huge that he can’t stop turning heads and stealing hearts even if he wanted to. 7 ft tall and like halfway to a 1000 lbs of pure muscle

There's a weird axis of accessibility and expression in media that I can't really square away. Like the more accessible something is, the easier for it to garner more attention because it's digestible, but the less you're able to meaningfully express. The more specific, the harder something can hit.

Puyo puyo 2 is probably THE best designed puzzle battle game ever. There’s so much good push and pull between setting yourself up and also trying not to get slammed with garbage. You actually need to pay attention to your opponent too.

One of my favorite books to read as a child was A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, and in it the main character who was a child gets sexually assaulted by a stranger. It was not glorified or meant to titillate, it was there because that’s part of the story. It was part of the art. It has literary value.
