So...my question is...at what point do you say "can I either have my drawing or my money back?" Cause I'm reaching that point

Thats 7 MONTHS of barely any updates or responses while I sit on my ass, and I paid this one fully up front which was over 150 bucks. The last thing the artist sent was like a rough sketch like a month ago....

They've done about...5 or so commissions for me? Here's where my issue lies, the commission their currently on...they've been on for 7 MONTHS. now I get artist's have lives outside their art. I get things happen to people, I get they have their own projects. BUT 7 MONTHS...

They finished it, we iron out some small stuff i don't like, like how the hair looks or something like that. Then I Pay them the second half and we're done.

Now I typically don't mind the time it takes, it gives me time to save up the second half of the commission payment.

I will pitch the idea to them, give them specs and details and references, I will pay them half up front and the other half when they finish.

They then disappear for like 3 months on average, no updates, no messages, just poof...gone. and then within a 1 to 3 month time period. Poof, their done.

Now some context, I've known this artist for about 4'ish years? I get character references from them for my hazbin hotel au. I love their work and how their style makes my characters look, how it tends to go is this,
