Drove 6,909 miles this summer, used zero gallons of gasoline.
Summer (last week May-first week Sept) gasoline demand disappointed, falling below 9mbpd as the economy slowed, to the lowest level since 2022.

Everyone else still has broken glass all over the ground outside your workplace, right? And mangled office and closet doors that were popped by SWAT teams while clearing buildings after the terror attack at your place of employment?

That’s normal stuff, right? Just cool, chill terror attack vibes?

We asked HHS how the media is exploiting this tragedy for political gain and a spokesperson said their statement speaks for itself.

Guy’s plan was to get onto campus, but the police officer he killed forced him to improvise.
Update from GBI press conference on CDC shooting:
Nearly *500 rounds* were fired, with almost 200 rounds striking a total of six CDC buildings.

Authorities are asking anyone w/ video of the incident to contact 1-800-597-TIPS (8477), or use the “See Something, Say Something” app -- can be anonymous.

This is a preschool between the shooter’s apparent location and the CDC buildings struck by bullets.

Multiple buildings at federal agency headquarters being peppered with bullets getting less national play than one might expect.

Lol, not in Florida. Early 90s was peak Florida-Florida State-Miami football all year round. I can tell you more Charlie Ward, Gino Torretta, and, lord help me, even Shane Matthews than any baseball player, anywhere, ever.

For 35 years I've thought about Horace Copeland weekly, at minimum.

Just changed the discounted mobile phone plan that I've had since roughly 2003, which was affiliated with a job I had from 2000 to 2011, but which I'd maintained for the past 14 years of non-employment by the erstwhile sponsoring employer.

Selling my third 2013 Nissan Leaf next week.

Will be without a 2013 Nissan Leaf for the first time in 10 years.

Gas stations.
I'm pretty brand agnostic when I stop for fuel, but I have preferences. Question- is there a place you'll NEVER go to buy fuel?
July 18, 2025 at 12:29 AM
I bought sub-$2/gallon fuel on exactly two occasions in Georgia during Trump 1: $1.91 on July 3, 2017 and $1.97 on Oct. 5, 2020. My average price across the term was $2.37.
There seem to be a lot of people that think #gasprices were consistently below $2/gal during Trump's first term. The national average did not fall below $2/gal from 2017 until March 27, 2020. Even cheap states like TX only saw sub-$2/gal prices briefly for about 6 weeks in 2019.

“… the Lucid Air Grand Touring traveled from St. Moritz, Switzerland, to Munich, Germany on a single charge, traversing 1,205 km, or 749 miles.”

For my family of two middle-aged bladders, a tween, and a teen, 750 miles is like a three- or four-stop deal.

New York City's population is 119 percent larger than Los Angeles, 212 percent larger than Chicago, 550 percent larger than Dallas, 1,530 percent larger than Atlanta, and 1,641 percent larger than Miami. It's only 5 percent smaller than the other five cities combined.
New York political news seems very important because the news media is in New York.

Who can name the mayors of LA, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Miami? Any two or three?

Agree it matters for residents of NYC —not so much for the rest of us.
