Fantasy trading card games and stuff.
It sucks, but in general I was upset that they’re locking Rebecca’s art behind collector boosters. I suppose that was inevitable but it’s a stark contrast to what MtG was like at original Lorwyn.

These things should get ironed out and aside from that it was a blast and I’m very curious to see the Sorcery competitive scene develop further!

- The legality of promo cards which were not widely available. Particularly in the case of the “swap” promo being a must-play card for water decks, given out as 1 per person at the event. It meant you had to have connections with non-water players to be able to field 2-3 copies.

Some points of criticism:
- round times of 45 mins are a bit tight, particularly for control decks. Luckily I didn’t run into it but I am not a fan of the draw = loss point system. It can lead to awkward situations and arguing about who should concede. Intentional draws never bothered me too much.

The gameplay felt great. Some people will miss instant speed interaction but the depth of strategy with site and minion placement and movement adds a lot. It also means that you can be liberal with taking plays back after a mistake, making it feel less stressful than other TCGs with more instants.

First off, the meta was much more diverse than many expected. Sure, after recent successes there was an abundance of Druids but 25% of meta and top 8 seems fine. I faced 6 different Avatars in 7 rounds!
