Got this on my car today lmao.

Respectfully, I do not, thanks. Christians, come collect your sheep. They be wildin’ out here.

Also, wondering if they saw the kidney donation decal next to my Hail Satan one. I’ve done far more Christian things than most Christians.

In January, I launched a substack to explore critical thinking, media literacy and more in witchcraft.

I just dropped a trailer for the podcast by the same name - The Light of Day. It’s on Spotify and w/in 24 hours will be everywhere else.

I hope you subscribe!

Can’t hurt to add a little more good energy to the universe ahead of my bowel resectioning surgery Wednesday.

Made some little spell bottles for “trinket trading” in case I’m able to go to the Renaissance festival again next month after surgery.

I’m not really a spell jar person for my practice but they’ll be super cute trinkets!

I haven’t done a decent selfie in a hot minute but I was really feeling myself during a ritual over our very chilly weekend.
January 27, 2025 at 1:19 PM
Spent a cup-filling weekend with my covenmates with several rituals, exploration of various forms of divination, and fireside chats.

While I believe in the importance of staying informed about what’s happening in the world around us, it’s also important to protect our peace and bask in joy.

⬇️ Sorry, friends. Not everything is an omen. Sometimes a lighting strike is just a lighting strike. These are all tall buildings with lighting rods. It’s like going to a butterfly garden and thinking a butterfly landing on you is a sign.

I totally relate to new year journal paralysis! And for witches who keep a grimoire or book of shadows, the same paralysis applies.

So I commissioned a friend to make me a leather cover for a three-ring binder. I can add/remove/tweak/rearrange pages as needed and it’s gloriously freeing.

So far I’m really impressed with the segments on the flaws of the law of attraction, the gender neutrality of the word “witch” and the ableist myth of health equaling spiritual purity.

Definitely adding this to my secular witchcraft Google doc I share with folks who need recommendations.

Another year of starting the new year sick, and another year where I won’t make it up til midnight, but the traditional black eyed peas are ready to eat.

Without downloading new pics, what’s your energy going into 2025?

New pfp just dropped courtesy of @joerocks1981.bsky.social! I’ve got my witchy journalist icon of my dreams.

Now that I have my 2025 Year of the Witch planner by @tempuraapples.bsky.social, I’m taking apart the 2024 one.

The front and back covers have little pockets and I’ll be gluing these into my grimoire to hold little spell notes and things I don’t want to glue onto pages.

Waste not, want not!

Tonight during #WinterSolstice I’m celebrating the return of the sun, and a new year of light and growth.

Right now I’m focusing on honoring all the reasons that make life worth living to help sustain me into this next period of our lives.

Earlier this year I recorded an episode of @thetarotdiagnosis.bsky.social with founder and host Shannon Knight.

We discussed coping with the 24/7 news media - and finding the delicate balance between staying informed and protecting your peace.

You can find it wherever you get your podcasts.
