Solid brass contact surfaces, copper multi-leaf wipers, wound manganin wire resistance elements. No wonder this is still pretty much working fine despite its age, when the newer ones in the cheap job lot I got are all over the place.

Picked up this gorgeous looking wood/brass/bakelite 1928 Phillip Harris resistance box today, thinking of it as a restoration project for some point, I lucked out tho! - it's 100% complete, looks all original and all the resistance coils are intact and still close values! Only paid £25!

Done lots of chores this morning and am tired and fed up. Now trimmed my beard and cut my hair, and am off to a local fête to chill for the afternoon.
