Any day with a Hoopoe in it has to be a great day. Plus Spotted Sanpiper on St Agnes . So a nice day all told despite dipping the Dove for a 2nd day 🙄then news of a Blackpoll in my neighbours garden on Unst . 😱😆

An autumnal feel to Hilbre Bird Obs today with the first couple of GreyWagtails of the autumn over, an early PalebelliedBrentGoose flew past the North End, waders and terns were much in evidence (including this flock of 15 Whimbrel) and our first Osprey of the autumn flew west #UKBirding
