Unapologetic Centrist Dad and paid up member of the Blob.
What has been weird is the amount of people almost insisting that they be taxed more in some bizarre ritual of self flagellation.

The thing is they wrote the headlines for the day after the budget months ago and you pretty much know what they are going to say anyway.I have never seen such a feeding frenzy on something they have absolutely no idea about and it seems it is boiling their piss.

Well I’d say the evidence against him is …..well yes you’ve got it .
November 12, 2025 at 5:44 PM
That was my polite way of saying the same thing 🥴The Guardian has gone a click chasing. To be expected.

Ye but apparently he is totally independent though he has cited a bunch of history revisionists as a credible source.

This is a major problem for most media outlets now.I would suggest they don’t have the same level of access as they used to have when you couldn’t open a paper without some disgruntled Tory shooting their mouth off.So they speculate and work off gossip rather than actual facts.
November 12, 2025 at 5:28 PM
Why wouldn’t you want them closed ? The Tories introduced them and many of their chums made a lot of money out of them.Is it not better that families aren’t crammed into rooms four at a time ?Perhaps speeding up the process and offering more suitable accommodation is a better idea ?

If you don’t think the media have been after Starmer from day one ?
November 12, 2025 at 4:08 PM
James I want to know by what metric do you judge his opinion as untenable? They haven’t resurrected Currygate again have they ?

Thank you Wolfie.

Especially when it comes from those whose collective memories have been wiped by endless social media dirge.
November 12, 2025 at 12:44 PM
If that’s ignoring them ,the I hate to think what “fully embracing” them looks like ?
November 12, 2025 at 12:41 PM
This belief that you can just tax the arse off the wealthy and suddenly all our woes are gone is the reason why for decades the left has failed to get elected. The damage caused by austerity is institutional as well as financial and will take years to fix.

I think George has been drinking the Kool aid .

For the last time government does not control the BBC it advises .It appoints the chairman and sets licence fees.Any regulation is the responsibility of Ofcom .
November 12, 2025 at 6:36 AM
Whilst I agree ,Government doesn’t control the BBC it and can only influence it by appointing the chairman, they are regulated by Ofcom ….supposedly.
November 11, 2025 at 5:44 PM
Prescott ,the man who was a close friend of Robbie Gibb and ex Political Editor of the Sunday Times appointed by Spaffer despite being told there was a serious conflict of interest and whose PR company Hanover advises Sky News. That independent Prescott ?
November 11, 2025 at 5:23 PM
If you say so.
November 11, 2025 at 1:59 PM
I wondered how long it would be before we had”why hasn’t Starmer said anything ?” chorus began .A lot of people seemed to have shifted from “why isn’t he sacking executive ?” To “why isn’t he defending them?”.Everyone seems very confused.

“Because it’s ….err not the Brexit I would have….umm…insisted….err ..the evil bureaucrats in Brussels….err…..betrayal “

Farage has far too much investment in the American Far right cash machine that even the slightest criticism could see it crashing down.He has no principles other than his own self enrichment if his acolytes can’t se that then they deserve to be shat on.
November 11, 2025 at 11:27 AM
John is right it is the weather 😂
November 11, 2025 at 9:42 AM
When he was voted out in 2024 I genuinely hoped that it was the last time I would have to suffer this parody Roderick Spode.
November 11, 2025 at 8:17 AM
It’s remarkable isn’t it ?Farage’s rise to prominence has been in no small part to the BBC’s infatuation with treating his every word with adoring reverence. No one has benefited more from their obsequiousness than Farage, yet the moment he can see the opportunity to kowtow to Trump all bets are off.

One word “bollocks”.
