I'm currently reading this and it's fantastic! I often find reading narrative history just as compelling as fantasy, especially with the right subject.
Alexander's Successor Wars are so fascinating and hardly spoken of. I highly recommend this!

I love this movie, it may even be my favourite movie, for all it's minimal dialogue and superb artistic choices. One of Newman's best scores!
It's not only a visually striking film (in a bleak sense), but it's also a beautiful father-son story about innocence and redemption.
