It drives me a little crazy when people use him as a touch point to a time when Republicans were reasonable. Reagan et al set up the platform on which this was built. Did they picture it exactly this way? I’m not saying that but I am saying that, without Reagan, I don’t think we get here.

MAGA and MSM have a different standard for Trump, don’t they? And, fwiw, Baron is 19; not a child. Trump just sent young people his age off to Venezuela without their moms. (I could have another discussion about brain maturation but here I’m referring again to a double standard.)

We have to remember that there is a certain amount of fatalism baked into the Christian ethos. It’s why you hear things like, “It wasn’t her time to go.”

Maybe you and I internally measure these victories differently than political stats. It’s hard to embrace 54% as a decided victory. I translate that as “just over half” and that almost half wanted some Abbott-wannabe. However, in comparable political stats, it’s a clear win. Still happy but…

It’s a semi-joke post made to bring attention to budget cuts. Whether it was made by an official entity at PBS or not, I don’t know but they have maintained, for the most part, Elmo’s tenor, I think.

This was the practical reason I considered listening…messaging. All the granular, nuanced talky-talk Dems love is not reaching half the population. If there’s a Rep in Dem’s clothing, it’s Rahm. Maybe he knows.

How empowering for the 11-yr-old. I love that. I also loved that WMATA (Metro) here in DC posted pictures of the crowds. We don’t have what you’d call ‘mixed feelings’ here.

It’s a tragedy in the traditional meaning. These people can’t even work in their own best interests. Sad and, unfortunately, they are going to take us all down with them.
