Netflix just added a bunch of classic Hindi cinema, which is great.

But they now have more pre-1980 Indian films (16) than American ones (11), so nobody tell Brendan Carr. #FilmSky
THE GODFATHER: THE COMPLETE NOVEL FOR TELEVISION debuted on NBC this week in 1977.

The chronological recut of GODFATHER I and II aired over 4 nights — with more than an hour of previously unseen footage. #FilmSky

Bring a little joy into your humdrum life and watch SINGIN' IN THE RAIN (1952) on TCM at 9:15pm ET.

It's followed by the TCM premiere of HIS GLORIOUS NIGHT (1929) w/ John Gilbert (which inspired the fictional film that is SINGIN' IN THE RAIN's centerpiece). #FilmSky #TCMParty

Predictable but still amazing to watch people who spent literally years accusing every librarian, teacher, and trans person they could find of sexually grooming children suddenly throw themselves in with "actually it's ephebophilia"
Megyn Kelly: "I know somebody very close to this case…Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was not a pedophile…He was into the barely legal type, like he liked 15 year old girls…He wasn't into like 8 year olds…There's a difference between a 15 year old and a 5 year old."

This 1975 promo for Masterpiece Theater is pretty brilliant, and so very much of its time.

Also, keep your eyes peeled for a cameo from two very famous celebs. youtu.be/GT-YrRkaBoE?...

I was 8 years old in 1968. My dad dropped us off to see PLANET OF THE APES on our own (this was right before the MPAA rating system). It scared the crap out of me, but Kim Hunter's performance as Zira was so warm and believable that I felt calmed by her presence.
A remarkable and gifted actress.
