I was born 5 yrs after WW2 ended. To think of the tens of millions who died defending their homelands, and the millions who died in the name of democracy... and then to think of all that sacrifice being dissipated in the space of 30 years since Newt Gingrich began his assault...

It breaks my heart.

Trump at work: His tariffs torpedo soybean farmers, who mostly vote Republican. So, he now proposes handing them $12B.

Meanwhile, the hot war in Ukraine for the future of democracy in Europe will get $400M, 1/3 of 1% as much. And, that will end up in the pockets of major US arms manufacturers.

“The subject line for the...death threats on my son was his words: ‘Marjorie Traitor Greene,’” Greene said, referring to the president’s newfound label for her."

1) President's followers believe his opponents should die; 2) He spends the day thinking up rude names.

Here's an outstanding one to toss at any MAGA you run across. Save it for future reference:

"[Marjorie Taylor] Greene says Republicans in Congress make fun of Trump behind his back"

Because ridicule is one thing MAGAs appreciate, since most have surely suffered a lot.

Of the proposed $900B US budget "Ukraine receive[s] $400M for 2026 & ...$400M for 2027...that go[es] towards production by American companies for some of the most high-priority weapons for Ukraine."

So, the hot war threatening world democracy gets 0.09% of our budget?

Q: Since soccer has awarded you a pathetically-ludicrous Peace Prize, what’s next?

Trump: I’m hoping to receive a Best Hair award from Black & Decker, a Bodybuilding award from Goodyear, and a Humanitarian award from Mattel.

Q: Mattel— the children’s toy company?

Trump: Yes.

Trump says Lisa Cook is unfit to be a Fed governor because she claimed two different properties as her primary residence on her mortgage applications. (Cook denies this.)

Trump did the exact same thing on mortgage applications submitted a mere 7 weeks apart.

Trump doesn’t care about affordability. He thinks he can mange perceptions by lying. He is somewhat right, because lots of people are gullible. His goal is simply to enrich himself and to appear powerful because he is a narcissist, and he doesn’t care about people because he is a psychopath.

Health insurers are jacking up premiums while raking in billions in profits.

Expiring ACA subsidies will saddle millions of Americans with massive monthly premium increases.

Is it any wonder that 63% of Americans now support Medicare for All?

It is a feature of human psychology that, the lower a person's cognitive ability, the more confidence they tend to have in their own decisions, and the more resistant they are to changing their mind after they've made a decision.

The wealthy have harnessed these quirks to power the modern GOP.

As I've been pumping, until we fully understand Trump's & MAGAs' psychology, we won't defeat them.
