It makes sense if you think about it through the lens of "double originalism" where you think about how someone claiming to be an originalist at the time of the founding would have understood government. There can't be a democracy if there was not already one at the exact moment of the founding./s

To be real tho, it's not rhetoric rn. The billionaire admin IS acting to break our government while never having considered paying a mere FAIR share. Maybe, just maybe, they never vibed with democracy from way back.

His 2nd run for office was motivated by a desire to evade incarceration more than a desire to govern. He's in it now to enrich him and the people who put him there. The easiest way to do it is at the people's expense. This term is a fire-sale of America. It's get while the setting's good.
