Silky Byz-ness. New 100% silk skaramangion for my Byzantine kit. Nicer photos will come with nicer weather.

My first time making an Early Medieval salt box; I'm quite happy with the result. Deer antler body, cherry wood cap and plugs, bronze cap fitting, apple wood locking pin and leather lace.

A silver foxtail chain of my own to go with this filigree pendant that I made. Assembled and soldered by me, and with a little silver s-hook clasp that I made for it.

My second pendant with hand-placed filigree and granulation, made in the Terslev style. Inspired by pendants such and this one found at the site of Birka in Sweden in the 4th photo. I'm still working to learn this technique, but so far I seem to be getting the hang of it.

My first granulated filigree pendant that I made a little over a week ago. Hand-placed filigree wire and granulation all in sterling silver. Inspired by this Early Medieval shield pendant found at the site of Birka in Sweden, though with a few adjustments. #viking #vikingperiod #vikingjewelry
