Just picked up my Bible from repair and getting a new cover put on it. So pleased with the finished result by Amy from Graphis Books in Kilmaurs, Scotland.

Discovered some interesting history on Katy’s side of the family yesterday. Katy’s great aunt was one of the first headmistresses in Northern Ireland and the only woman elder in the presbytery of Belfast in 1946. Elizabeth “Lizzie” McClune.

One of the best things about moving from Glasgow to Ayrshire is not just the green space while still being close to Glasgow but also the easy access to the Galloway forest park. Great day in the sun after a busy and long few weeks.

A very emotional last Sunday at Barrhead St Andrew’s on placement. No one warns you when you start training for ministry how attached you would become to a congregation even within a 6 month period.
Will carry and cherish my memories of this time with me as I continue on my journey! 🙏🏼

To say clowns are in the White House would be disrespectful to clowns.

A Prayer from Ephesus today. It has been an incredible week in Turkey hearing the stories and seeing the landscape of much of the early Church. Following in the footsteps of the apostles and early followers of Jesus has been so moving, I will remember these experiences for the rest of my life.

First week back at @trinitycolglasgow.bsky.social worship for the new semester. Always a privilege to be able to worship in such a beautiful space.

Over 30 people at Kilmarnock station this morning waiting to get the first train to Glasgow. Cancelled with no explanation and no replacement bus until over an hour later.

As Spotify wrapped/Apple music replay days have both arrived this week, is it just me who loves seeing other people’s music tastes? My vibe is clearly melancholy sad boi music alongside Taylor Swift.

One of the most moving moments of my ministry placement so far. Yesterday I was able to take part in administering communion for the first time. It reminded me that however we come to share at the table of grace, that it is in fact Christ’s table and to serve here is both a joy and a privilege.

Today’s placement escapades at Barrhead St Andrew’s involved taking my peace lily to Church.

Part of a prayer for Christ the King Sunday today.

“Our Lord, our King, our Christ you are not the possession of a few.
You are not a banner for our causes and crusades.
You are not a slogan for our campaigns and concerns.
You are not a mascot for our various groups and gatherings…”

Working my way through the reports and minutes of the General assemblies of the Church of Scotland between 1964 and 1972 today. Particularly focusing on the debates leading up to the 1968 Act which allowed for the ordination of women to ministry.

Since it’s #BookWeekScotland I had to pick up something while visiting Mount Florida books earlier today.

Can confirm the Ikea trip was worth it to finally have my books on bookshelves rather than on the floor. Also to have the daybed set up for visitors staying with us over Christmas. As we have been unpacking after moving I keep finding more books in every box we open.
