Baidu just dropped Wenxin 5.0.

Key claim: "Unified native full-modality." It processes text, video, and audio as one unified stream.

My first test: Deconstructing viral TikToks. It works.

Globally, it's now Baidu vs. OpenAI on this front. Domestically in China, Baidu is alone.

Finally, Mailpod is live!

Fun fact: today if you're using Gmail API, you need $500+ to pass their "security assessment" (which I haven't), otherwise they will show a "Google hasn't verified this app" screen when users signing in.

Uncommon Opinion:

Eliminating email verification can boost your registration conversion rate. You might not actually need email verification.

(I just removed email verification for my own product, Skyblaze.)

Just submitted my app to 200+ directory websites with high DRs.

I tracked the submission in a Notion database, normally I would sell this for $199.

But for the next 24 hours, it's FREE.

Offer a free tier. It lowers the barrier and hooks users on your value.
(Some cheapest models are nearly free nowadays)
