The antiviral meds are really doing their job. At this point, three and a half days in, I’m at a point of mild discomfort rather than severe. The small patches of welts/rash have been small enough to protect with bandaids, so they’re not bad. Still, it sucks. Get vaccinated.

This also sounds really bad, and if it's just the same pain, it's near debilitating. I will say this again: GET VACCINATED.

I'm 2 weeks in, so I have SO MUCH TO LOOK FORWARD TO in November.
After the sores drain, they will dry out and scab over, and will likely still be itchy. Like with a tattoo or a sunburn, DON'T SCRATCH.

People over 50 are encouraged to get vaccinated. This is the ONLY time I've wished I was that old. For older folks, this can be potentially life threatening, so make sure your parents are vaccinated too!

Important part here: Most people get these as a child, but as an adult they can be much more dangerous.

If you've never had them before, and the rash hasn't shown up, the first sign is extreme pain on your skin, where barely touching it is excruciating. This happens, go to Urgent Care ASAP. Thank me later!

For me, its these tiny blisters, but not a full on red everywhere situation. Except the two small patches on my back. Those are quite cross with me.
IT IS VERY ITCHY! Like a tattoo session that never ends or never heals.

It's like your skin is actively on fire and falling off of you. It's really bad. For the last two days, it's felt like my hand was splitting in half.
THIS IS NOT A GOOD TIME.

To try to put this sensation into words... it's like... waves of the most painful sunburn you've ever had along bands of skin, called a Dermatones. My flare up is along the C8 and T1 dermatones on my left side. Specifically, the T1 area that rubs my torso.
