You might remember my #Original song "Is It Me?" from a few years ago. Well I've had Paddy Johnson add guitar and the song remixed by Alexander Hulme. It sounds great! A lyric video now accompanies it to launch my Principal Character channel. #music

Got back from seeing the highly original and melodic Pictish Trail aka Johnny Lynch at Castle Hotel in Manchester tonight. Love him.

The cover to my album "Madness in the Method". Soon to be released on download, CD and LP record. Just a few bits and bobs to sort first, but nearly there. Exciting!! Cover painting by the ultra talented Owen Claxton. #indiemusic #folk

I loved how he seemed to exist in a parallel world. You could imagine he really was a dandy highwayman who crashed posh people's parties. Pop stars today have to show too much of their everyday lives, which makes that difficult to sustain. Gaga's the only one I can think who does anything like that.
Adam Ant is 71 today. Hard to emphasise how seismic this was in playgrounds across the country in 1980. For a period he was as big as any act has been. Was he the perfect pop star? I think so. It couldn't last but if you were there you'll never forget it.

Thoroughly enjoyed my guest spot on Sense Sphere with Brendan Noble discussing classic cliff-hanger episode endings to #DoctorWho. I was invited to reminisce about three of the best and one dud.

Many thanks to Creatives On the Couch for inviting me on their chat show for half an hour to discuss my writing and other projects, from winning a #DoctorWho record in 1980 to publishing Doctor Who #audiobooks in my fifties! 😊

Many thanks to Creatives On the Couch
for inviting me to interview about my various projects, not least my #DoctorWho audiobooks. Francesca was great as interviewer and the crew were professional. I look forward to the end result. Hope I didn't talk too fast, as we crammed a lot in!! 😊

Doctor Who: The Girl Who Never Was.

"Dot dot dot, dash dash dash, dot dot dot.
Someone's listening. Somewhere."
A ghost ship.
A girl with no memory, adrift in time.
An old enemy.

Noise and chaos
Not my own

Just to hold
You up
So you don't
Crumble

Been enjoying the latest from Alex Storer's The Light Dreams project. This album, Malverk, puts me in mind of the synthy atmospheres and ambiences of Vangelis, whom I listened to in my youth.

Begun writing Anne Droyd V (even though IV hasn't been published yet). I'm just writing the scenes that keep recurring in my mind to start with. The scene I've just finished is tense. A good sign. 😊

Loving the Big Finish #DoctorWho set "The Cosmos and Mrs Clarke". "The Story Demon" is one of the most original takes on the Daleks I've ever heard, and Paul Magrs' "The Key to Many Worlds" is a right laugh. Colin Baker and Katy Manning swap bodies! 😆
