The last Tuesday at the statehouse. The legislation didn't get a hearing, but it's not a total defeat. Educating the public about this issue, & continuing to having conversations w/legislators has still been extremely useful and important. Work continues after the table is gone for this session.

I have heard from someone that serves on the Kansas house judiciary committee that Susan Humphries the chair of the committee is not going to hear the bill in committee this session. Please call her office and demand this gets a hearing.

Thanks to an awesome supporter and fellow survivor we have signage. There is also an official bill entry. The fight to have clergy in Kansas listed as mandated reporters of abuse has leveled up.

Best spot to have a table at the #Kansas statehouse. This is the hallway from the visitors center on the ground floor. Everyone has to come and go through this area to do business in the statehouse. So everyone has to see me :) I educate and advocate for clergy to be listed as mandated reporters.

Are there any other federal agencies doing this? #Project2025 is in full force. This should be put in front of every Republican female member of congress and let them see that they are being erased too. If you're not a rich white guy you're on the menu.

Efforts to get clergy listed as mandated reporters of abuse in Kansas last session helped get it to step 4 in the how a bill becomes law process. I worked tirelessly last session from day one to the last day of session to get it that far. #ksleg
