Finally finished the top layer of this quilt. I’ve been working on it on and off for…2? years. It’s taking me so long bc I’ve handstitched the whole thing. Also, it was really hard trying to get a decent pic with limited space and a cat.

HELL SUMMER is back! I thought maybe after last year the owners would reconsider what their banner actually looks like but I guess they’re into it.

Squirrel update: there’s a bit of a turf war going on with the baby twins but if I sit outside while Van Notch eats they leave her alone. Also Van Notch comes to the window when she’s hungry and today when I went to the porch I couldn’t find her. So I called her name and saw this above me

My favorite neighborhood dog escaped while I was at work and came to my yard to hang out and I’m so mad I missed it. (Don’t worry, he was carried back to his house and is fine)

Long overdue squirrel update. This squirrel has a notch out of their ear. So I suggested we call it Vincent van Squirrel. My daughter kept accidentally calling it Vincent van Notch which has now been shortened to just “van notch”.

My first introduction to this student was when she punched a kid in the face 10 seconds after entering the classroom. Now she’s leaving me notes and is one of my faves. A little patience and kindness and respect can do a lot.
