The Inuit in Kalaallit Nunaat 🇬🇱 believe the ARSARNERIT (northern lights) are the spirits of the dead playing a game of football with a Walrus skull. ⚽️ It is also believed that if you whistle at the lights the spirits will swap the skull for your head! Admire! Don’t whistle! 💀

I love marketplace! I found this beautiful Qilaat (Greenlandic Inuit drum) made from reindeer, handcrafted by a local artist in Nuuk. Used Google Translate to communicate, and I’m so happy that every kroner went directly to the artist! Qujanak, and thank you Eigil Lyberth! 🇬🇱❤️🥁
