Dec 10th sees the Mega Dimension dlc release for Pokémon Legends: Z-A
The mythical Pokémon Hoopa seems to have brought Mega evolved Pokémon from different dimensions to Lumiose City with Pokémon breaking the level 100 cap for the first time since we could glitch past that in Red/Blue

Dec 8th sees Yakuza Kiwami 1 & 2 release physically on Switch 2 in Europe.
Don't know why we had to wait while everyone else seemingly got these on the 13th Nov but I'm looking forward to having these portably in my collection

Happy December ❄️
A new month brings new game releases to look forward to!

In 2017, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 released on Switch!
Returning the series to more of a story focus after X had deviated to its exploration focus, this game followed Rex and his Blade partner Pyra as they try to reach Elysium.
One of my favourite games of all time and I still get chills from that

In 2016, Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS released for... 3DS!
A port of the Wii U game but lacking the online level sharing elements that made it so good. Still a fun way to make levels and play the ones you have access to

In 2011, Mario Kart 7 released on 3DS!
Bringing kart customisation to the series as well as gliding and underwater segments, this was a solid Mario Kart entry.
The character roster was a little baffling though with Waluigi missing and Metal Mario coming in

In 2007, Wii Fit released on the Wii!
This game came bundled with the Wii Balance Board peripheral which could be used as scales and detect the different types of pressure you put on the board for various muscle strengthening and yoga exercises.
A really cool concept and one I loved using for a bit

On this day in 2005, Donkey Kong Country 3 released on GBA!

Grabbed this as soon as I found out it was out.
Nice piece of memorabilia for one of my favourite games of all time

In 2023, Nintendo 64 - Nintendo Switch Online: Mature released on Switch!
Created to keep Pegi 18+ titles off the main app, this service hosts titles like Perfect Dark and Turok. Part of me wishes they could put everything in one app so I can organise all the games on N64. Looking for to the

In 2017, Kirby Battle Royale released on 3DS!
A minigame collection where you take on opponents in different competitions like Robo Bonkers where you have to be the player that damages him most or Slam Hockey which is basically hockey with a giant puck. I thought it was a neat game but by this point

On this day in 1984, Excitebike released on NES!
This game sees you partake in races where you jump off ramps and try to land perfectly to keep your speed up. One of the more fun "black box" NES titles

Not the best but over 6k points is decent I think
Doesn't help that most lobbies I played in only had 8-16 non CPU players, meaning you could lose points even finishing 6th which was harsh.
Still, I managed a consistent top 8 in my 16 races with one 9th my lowest point and one 2nd my peak

Excuse me?

In 2003, Mario Party 5 released on GameCube!
I think this is the one that introduced the day and night mechanic iirc. 4 and 5 were the ones I played most on the GameCube and they're pretty great

In 2003, F-Zero: GP Legend released on GBA!
A tie in with the anime series, this game added a story mode and brought mechanics like your boost being your health to a 2D game for the first time.
I love this one, over 30 racers to play as and a bunch of cups to win
November 28, 2025 at 10:19 AM
On this day in 1989, Golf released on Game Boy!
It's your basic 2D top down golf game with two sets of courses to play through. It is kinda neat that Mario starred on the cover before the Mario Golf series was even a thing!

In 2013, Nintendo 3DS Guide: Louvre released on 3DS!
First a physical exclusive to the Louvre Museum in France before being made a free eshop download worldwide, this title acts as an interactive guide through the Louvre Museum.
And as someone who's never been, I never downloaded this

In 2000, Banjo-Tooie released on N64!
Rare went even bigger with their Banjo-Kazooie sequel with a ton of collectables to get. It's one I really need to play myself someday as the scope seems to be a divisive aspect of this title
November 27, 2025 at 10:37 AM
On this day in 1993, Kirby's Pinball Land released on Game Boy!
A pinball spinoff was all the rage back in this era and it made perfect sense for the round pink ball to get involved. I miss these kinds of spin off because there's something really fun with the simplicity of pinball

I listened to every song in the full Bang Dream playlist on Spotify!
Here's my main band tier list based on how much I love their music

On this day in 1994, Donkey Kong Country released on SNES!
Rare revived DK by putting him in a 2D platformer and freeing him from the shackles of being Mario's enemy. A journey through the jungles and factories of Kong Island with animal buddies sees DK and Diddy aim to retrieve their stolen bananas

Four new games up on Nintendo Classics!
3 third party offerings including Ninja Gaiden II and Rare's Battletoads on NES with Bionic Commando on Game Boy
Also on Game Boy is Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters! This one is often forgotten about but the main thing I remember is that you don't die if
November 26, 2025 at 10:12 AM
You can't say that right after you captured Peach!!

In 2010, Mario Sports Mix released on Wii!
Square Enix returned for a 4 in 1 sports pack giving us Mario Basketball, Hockey, Dodgeball and Volleyball. It was an alright sports outing but every sport felt very similar to play and there wasn't much else to it
