You can tell a True Wife Guy then by the way he never *tells you* he’s a wife guy. This is really the truest distinction: if you can tell a guy truly loves his wife, then he’s a Wife Guy. If he has to tell you, then he’s a Wife Guy *eye roll*. Anyway, hope this helps 5/5

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Donald Trump announced his candidacy for president around the time Ben & Jerry’s gave Jimmy Fallon his own ice cream. I think it’s pretty clear what needs to happen to set the timeline straight

If I had been Kalen DeBoer there is no way I’d ever had gone to Alabama. On the one hand you’re stepping into the shoes of one of the greats, which is an entirely downside proposition. And on the other, you’re moving away from one of the most beautiful places in the United States. What a dumb dumb.

I forgot that the reason I hate these the most is that the teams already played each other in many cases. ‘Let’s do it again, but this time it actually counts’ is such a weak energy.
The other is just kill off NCAA football conference championship games. It’ll never happen because of the money, but they’ve always been stupid and they’re stupider still when you have a committee that likes to reward teams that don’t play in them and punish teams that play in them and lose. 2/2

My personal take, that no one asked for, is that being a Dude should be good enough to get into the hall of fame. Acknowledging and honoring awesome players like Dale Murphy doesn’t do anything to diminish folks like Babe, if anything it makes those sorts of feats stand out even further.
Dale Murphy spent most of the 1980s as one of the game's best players, but injuries turned him into a shadow of the player he once was.

I’ve never ventured over there, but to me Threads is like the episode of community where a student was serving as the personification of the Subway brand. Except in this case everyone posting is the personification of some brand or another, including brands themselves.
It is crazy that Threads is somehow the most deranged platform. Like Twitter is obviously the toxic propaganda arm of the American Republican Nazi Party and the Tesla company, but there’s a coherence to it. Threads appears to be for people trying to do the Ludovico Technique on themselves.

Masters update: I am begrudgingly making progress on the final project that I do not care to be doing, but just to graduate. Knowing I only need 10% to pass the class and graduate really has my levels of ‘I really don’t feel like this’ going through the roof

I think there is a direct link to viewing reviews of anything less than 5 stars as a failing—despite the fact that 3 stars (above average) isn’t bad—and this idea that we have to lower educational expectations to meet students where they are rather than the other way around.
