May 30th is World MS Day.
I got my diagnosis in spring 2016. But looking back, I think it was there as early as 2000, lurking in the shadows, popping its head up with occasional minor symptoms, but never at a level to draw attention to itself.

Don’t get me wrong, I love “When Doves Cry”, but it’s sparse and kinda simple, whereas “Take Me With U” is all lush and Beatlesque and catchy in a warm, leisurely hypnotic way.

It reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100, it’s easily one of the best songs of the “New Romantic” sub-genre of British New Wave, and it’s Culture Club at their finest.

“Don’t You (Forget About Me)” is endlessly, inescapably iconic, and a very good song. But “Alive And Kicking” is like this epic anthem that builds and builds, and then everybody’s got their lighters out, swaying, chanting along, “bada dada, bup bada dada, bup bada oh wo, bup bada oh wo”.
