We appreciate Michael trying to get movie discussions going on this site, and must say, people sleep on just how good Matt Damon is in The Bourne Identity. That role is close to disastrous - or boringly impersonal - on paper; it only works because of his skill with playing confusion and desperation
what are your favorite acting performances? doesn't have to be a big role, doesn't have to be a killer movie, just a particular performance that sticks with you. some of mine:

Pakula was the king (Parallax View and All the President’s Men are both perfect) and Zodiac (2007) and Shutter Island (2010) scratch a similar itch for me
okay new movie prompt, what are some great paranoid thrillers? just watched klute and really enjoyed it. the first modern one that comes to mind is martha marcy may marlene, which was stunning
