#SocialConnection is key to #MentalHealth, but mental health must be understood in the context of conflict, displacement and economic crisis.

Our statement at #WHA78.

We have to explicitly link mental health to #peacebuilding and tackle psychological problems at their roots.

#NCDs can't be addressed in isolation from social, economic and commercial determinants of health.

#Neoliberal policies have contributed to the rise of NCDs everywhere, and we need strong regulation of transnational corporations to protect health.

In partnership with @psiglobalunion.bsky.social, PHM calls for urgent action to resist the colonial, capitalist and oppressive systems that fuel climate catastrophe.

We need binding commitments to phase out fossil fuels and hold historic polluters accountable.

Our lives depend on it.

With Medicus Mundi ‪@medicusmundich.bsky.social‬, we point out that the plan fails to confront the catastrophic reality of the world we are creating – one of 3 degrees' warming.

We need corporate taxation, climate reparations and debt cancellation, not delusional incrementalism.

With Corporate Accountability @stopcorpabuse.bsky.social, we argue that the proposed document fails to name the fossil fuel sector and other extractivist industries that drive climate breakdown and its health impacts.

We should phase out these sectors, not partner with them.

A nuclear war would inevitably be a mass casualty event.

The People's Health Movement's position on the devastating effects of #NuclearWeapons and #NuclearWar. A statement delivered to the @who.int World Health Assembly with our friends at @psiglobalunion.bsky.social.

PHM statement to the World Health Assembly on health and care workers.

Delivered in concert with allies at @stopcorpabuse.bsky.social

Laws must ensure that migrant workers are treated fairly and equally and that migration doesn't create health worker shortages in poorer countries.

The People's Health Movement's statement on Universal Health Coverage at the World Health Assembly.

We need strong, comprehensive primary health care. This is the only viable path to #HealthForAll.

We love opera as much as the next person.

But amidst multiple intersecting global health crises, and with civil society delegations being limited to 60-second interventions in these crucial meetings, we wonder if this is the best use of time at the World Health Assembly. #WHA78
