We were unable to use our normal 2 lap course this week so we were down on the prom, but I have to say that given the weather, it was a fantastic place for our young participants to be, as we welcomed 45 of them, including 9 first timers.

Well done Archie on your 200 run milestone 👏

63 runners participated this morning, including 13 first timers, probably due to the Easter bunny who delivered some eggcellent treats.

We were pleased to welcome so many newcomers; today was our 3rd biggest event since the end of Covid.

Our volunteer team also eggcelled themselves today 👏🙌

We had 52 fantastic young runners through the finish funnel and a few more that did one lap. It was brilliant to that see six of those were first-timers - a huge welcome to you all! We hope you loved your first parkrun adventure and will be back for more.

This Sunday, we celebrate 15 years since the birth of junior parkrun, with the first event taking place at Bushy Park in 2010

If your children have never been to junior parkrun before, bring them along on this special anniversary,

A warm and sunny Mother's Day as our 37 young athletes gathered on the slopes in time for a 09:00am start. As well as welcoming a number of first timers, I also noticed that there were several unknown runners; if you haven't registered your child yet, click here www.parkrun.org.uk/register/

We decided to head back onto our two lap course having been exiled below on the prom for the last few weeks due to all the standing water and mud up top. We were joined by a magnificent 55 runners, which is a great number for this time of year and takes our weekly average to 30 year to date.

42 young participants shared a very foggy Sunday morning with us; well done to Tom, who was awarded his Ultra Marathon wristband for reaching 50 runs. Yesterday was officially the first day of Spring, so I'm hoping we'll be back up on our normal two lapper course very soon.

On a busy morning, we launched 26 young athletes into the throng of early morning runners well and truly into marathon training season. Well done to our crack volunteer team who marshalled them superbly through all the fartleks, strides & tempo sessions going on around them!
