Keeping this up to promote growth and seek new information. As of August 2025 I no longer support Pete, as he has now advocated clearly to further oppress trans people and harm them.

I was hopeful that it was a small mis-step and that he’d understand how poor his wording was, but sadly him doubling down on hurting trans people is unacceptable and I won’t be supporting him going forward.

So this comes to the moral idea of stealing a loaf of bread. We are saying owning a Tesla is inherently evil absolute. Long term, I support everyone getting rid of teslas. But where does labeling every single person owning one as a racist help our cause?

So again, I’m asking why label the individuals on an empathetic level. I understand that there is a collective wanting to punish Tesla. I support that idea. But I am needing understanding of why going after individuals helps that cause instead of pushes more away.

Which is why we boycott the brand, not the people who owned one ten years ago and still have it (which is a normal thing to happen). They had a rug pulled. We need to show empathy to pull them to our side. Not isolate ourselves

If someone purchased post Elon’s more public shift, yes absolutely there is a foot to stand on. But by this logic you are isolating the progressive movement rather than informing to bring more to the cause. The viewpoint with how you’ve currently explained it has no empathy.
