I'd be quite happy to see Starmer go, but when you have Streeting and Mahmood being presented as the most viable alternatives it doesn't exactly bode well for the future. Seems guaranteed that the attacks on marginalised communities we have seen already will be ramped up.

Prime Minister will fight any attempt to replace him, friends say
Allies of the prime minister are worried his job might be under immediate threat.

I’ve been procrastinating over learning a CAD package to replace SketchUP which I’ve been using for 20+ years. They all seem way more than I need & would take ages to learn. Then I heard TinkerCAD had 2 new feature that turn it from a toy into a serious contender: Sketch & Sketch Revolve. 1/2

I threw fiscal caution to the wind and bought a 3D printer, a Creality K2. Then I designed & printed this table lamp.

The fact that the BBC has made serious culpable errors does not negate the point that there is a real and concerted right-wing media campaign to destroy it. Both points can be true at the same time and the campaign would not end even if the errors did.

The Tokyo Electro Automobile Co. Tama Electric Car from 1947.
It achieved the driving range of 96km and the maximum speed of 35km/h.
And it looks GORGEOUS.
I love it.
If they were still being made, I'd get one.
I wonder if a sheep fits in the back seat.

Robbie Gibb was appointed to the BBC Board by Boris Johnson, was an editorial advisor for GB News, and worked as Theresa May's Director of Comms.

He is not impartial or neutral. The government should remove him from the Board immediately to protect the BBC's independence.

Remembrance Day was intended to be a time to remember the appalling cost our ancestors paid to preserve our freedom. It was never intended to be a celebration of war, victory or nationalism.

AFAIK there are no surviving photos of the uncle I never met, my father’s older brother who died before WWII got properly started. So I share this photo of his grave on 11th November every year.

It can’t be said often enough: BBC News and current affairs have presented unacceptable right wing bias and have platformed MAGA-funded think tanks masquerading as research units since well before the orchestrated campaign to separate us from Europe.

My new neighbour has managed to piss me off before I’ve even met him. I can hear his fucking dog barking right next to me. Another neighbour’s cat, the little shit, is sitting staring in, driving the dog nuts and probably loving it.

Once every 20 years or so, the director-general of the BBC is forced to resign for being insufficiently rightwing. Alastair Milne in 1987. Greg Dyke in 2004. Tim Davie in 2025. The great irony is that the BBC was in all cases profoundly biased towards established power. But just not biased enough …
