I tried it this evening alongside the 10 year old. I found it to be good, especially the creamy thickness on the palate, but I preferred the 10 year old. I’d be happy having a bottle on the shelf, but not one I will be buying having tried it.

Pours were kept small so all good in the end. Great to try them all side by side in one evening.

Google tells me it’s a fortified sweet wine from the south of France. I’m not too familiar with it either to be honest, but have seen a few whiskies matured in it.
