While we’re taking about Trophy Gold, Return to Welcome by @madelancholy.bsky.social is set in an eerie placid (at first) lake town before a big festival. The vibe is sort of Wicker Man meets Midsommar meets Midford. Mads is a master of locations and this is no exception!!

Sunken by Aaron Hollander was so cool to get to read and make a cover for, for Sea of Thieves gamers and pirate campaign enjoyers, Sunken is for you. It follows a group of pirates stranded on an island being overrun with dreams, the ending of it is so beautiful and inspired the cover concept!

While I recommended the last one for CoC players, I think Delta Green players or even people who enjoy PvE extraction shooters would be very at home in the Backrooms TD incursion by Igor Juraszewski. It really hits the spot in that liminal space, SCP horror kind of vibe

Another great entry in the Keeper Feature, this time Gabe provides some guidance on converting existing modules into Trophy Gold. I recently got to play through bit of The Garden of Abelia Prem and Deep Carbon Observatory all in Trophy Gold and I had so much fun, can’t recommend this one enough

Journey to the Moon is a very very very cool incursion for Trophy Dark, part of the Great Forest of Kaldhur has been stolen by fairies and taken to the moon, unfortunately someone needs your help to get back something that was stolen with the land. It’s very fantastical, feels dreamy and dark

‘Ware the Witch is a short story written by @pizzoc.bsky.social about my personal favorite Trophy NPC, The Witch of Nevask. This short story is wonderful because I think it captures the old fairy tale feel of Trophy so well (and also there’s cool lesbians)

Been working on some very fun internal covers for the next issue of Sprigs and Kindling that is coming out next. This issue is dedicated to the games Trophy Dark and Trophy Gold and is filled with game advice, short fiction, incursions, roll tables, art, and was so fun to work on

The woods are lovely, dark, and deep, and all of our hunters have drives to keep. Journey into the edge of the Great Forest of Kaldhur with them in Trophy Dark: The Wild Hunt.

Last year I didn’t finish canning the apple butter and pie filling until like 3am, so feeling very successful at having finished everything up before 11:30 this year. This batch tastes even better than the last, and I made just under a gallon of apple butter!

By no means a definitive answer but maybe part of a larger context, its use for the second march on Washington for lesbian and gay rights makes me think it used to have a stronger connection to the Wizard of Oz/Dorothy but who knows, this is a fun search
