#Albuquerque is out in style today: lots of costumes and signs and singing, lots of enthusiasm. #NoKings

Median age feels a lot younger than in June. Still just as many angry granny signs (I love them 😍) but tons more young people this time round.

I can't emphasize enough that the most important thing journalists can do right now is publish exactly this kind of article

This is funny. And the serious problem with the NYT is it misinforms about reality. Not with inaccuracy so much as emphasis, perspective, and framing. That makes it a bad news source. Go to the Guardian, or Wired, or others/ independent sources. You don't need the NYT or LA Times, or WaPo.

The internet used to be where I'd go to get away from the rest of the world.

Now, I go outside to try and get away from the internet.

Went to this conference last year.

It was amazing. Such good stuff and good conversations.
We're just starting to plan this year's #StaffPlus conference in New York next October.

The CFP opens on March 3rd, so if you've ever thought about pitching a talk to StaffPlus (or LeadDev), start getting your ideas together!

This game is a really lovely intro to programming/understanding how to read code. Ms 12 has been writing Python/Scratch for a while and she blitzed through it, but I think it would have been excellent when she was smaller too. www.101computing.net/wp/wp-conten...

Today I've taken both the dogs for extra long walks, washed the back door, put away all of the laundry, tidied my office, and achieved what Duolingo described as "the most XP you've ever earned in a day!"

It's wild how productive you can get when avoiding a terrible paperwork chore.

I got Ms 12 a www.kimjoyskitchen.com recipe book and some piping bags and food colouring and etc for her birthday. BEHOLD!

Typing "you are maybe hedging too much in this paragraph rather than taking a firm stance?" as a comment on a doc. No hypocrisy here, nope. 😅

Look what I just got in the mail! I didn't even know there was a Japanese translation happening until the doorbell rang and I had to sign for a package from Japan. Well that made my whole day.

This starter pack thing is good. Nice work, whoever came up with that one.

In Russian they call the feeling "suitcase without the handle" - hard to carry but still don't want to throw it away.
