What a movie. The principal cast is really solid, but it's a career best for Jude Law. Incredible performance. He was channeling Hackman as much as Kurzel was channeling Friedkin and Lumet. Could not be more up my alley. We need more movies like this.

This was sloppy. Marvel seems to be throwing anything and everything into the furnace just to keep the train going. Unfortunately most of the passengers got off after Endgame. Slow down. Focus on the quality, not quantity.

I didn't know you could steal this many shots from The Shining and still be nominated for BP. This could've been 30 minutes shorter. The third act was shock for shock's sake. Confident direction and consistent tone are its saving graces. Not bad, but not for me.

I really enjoyed #Anora. I laughed, I fell in love, and I had my heart broken. This is why I watch movies. Mikey Madison's performance blew me away, and I can't wait to see what she does next. So far she's my pick for BA, and this might be my pick for BP. Too early to tell. 4/5⭐

Winslet actively produced this with the same care and attention to detail she employs in her acting. She is my generation's Streep, and anytime she's nominated it's a snub if she doesn't win. She's been one of our finest actors since she first arrived on screen.

Not sure who this was for, but it's not me. I was checking the runtime five minutes in. A really tough watch, but Zoe carried me through. I found this to be ugly and misguided. It'll probably win Best Picture.

This book is ridiculous in all the right ways. I like the decision to combine Logan's costumes. The brown and gold works on the original design, and the beard adds a nice dash of salt. Capullo is a great fit for this book.
